Lead Daycare Teacher
Job Summary
The Lead Teacher is responsible for the overall planning, implementation, and assessment of a developmentally appropriate curriculum for a classroom of children ranging from 3 months to 12 years (specific age group assigned). This role requires maintaining a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment that supports the mission of Jannie Babies Childcare to provide reliable, high-quality, and round-the-clock care. The Lead Teacher mentors the Teacher Assistant and maintains strong, professional communication with parents.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans and curriculum activities that promote the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child.
Conduct ongoing observation and assessment of children, utilizing data to inform and adapt teaching methods.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that meets all licensing and safety standards.
Supervise and mentor the Teacher Assistant, delegating tasks and ensuring effective team collaboration.
Establish and maintain positive, professional, and frequent communication with parents regarding their child's progress, daily activities, and any concerns.

Assistant Daycare Teacher
Job Summary
The Teacher Assistant supports the Lead Teacher in the daily operations of the classroom and the implementation of the educational program. The Assistant plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe, organized, and nurturing environment, directly engaging with children (ages 3 months to 12 years) and assisting with classroom management and routine care duties.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing daily activities, lesson plans, and classroom routines.
Supervise children closely during all activities, meals, nap times, and transitions to ensure their safety and well-being.
Help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the classroom, ensuring materials are accessible and age-appropriate.
Provide direct, nurturing care for children, including diapering, toileting, and feeding, as needed.
Engage actively with children to promote positive social interactions and model appropriate behavior.
Assist in documentation, including daily reports, attendance records, and observation notes.
Support the Lead Teacher in maintaining a positive and communicative relationship with parents.
